The challenge

Oxycom develops and sells heat recovery ventilation products. The technology is based on a combination of heat exchange and adiabatic cooling. Oxycell II sought a simple way to explain the main basic principles and show how these worked to clients.

The solution

A demo unit was developed to illustrate in simple terms how this technology worked. The unit was constructed complete with real-life valves and filters. In the design of the demo unit, production technologies were chosen with a view to one-off production and the possibility that a limited number could be manufactured.

People Creating Value

First made the initial design proposals based on preselected Oxycom components. The model was further adapted for silicone rubber mold castings. First also oversaw the component production process. The demo unit was finished on time and presented in Asia, where it was hailed a success.
